FEES Services for Inpatient Settings

Endoscopic Swallowing Specialists provides FEES services for hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. Each evaluation is performed with a focus on thorough swallowing assessment, clear findings, and practical clinical recommendations.

FEES is used to evaluate and diagnose dysphagia, clarify how and why aspiration is occurring, and support treatment and diet recommendations based on the clinical picture. The goal is to provide clinically useful information that helps guide next steps in care. 

Each FEES evaluation includes a thorough report with diagnosis, dysphagia process remarks, treatment recommendations, and diet recommendations. Reporting is intended to be clear, practical, and directly relevant to patient care.

Because the exam is portable, FEES can be performed at bedside for patients who cannot be easily transported to radiology. FEES also provides a detailed view of swallow anatomy and is highly sensitive to secretion management, residue, penetration, and aspiration, without radiation.

Current service settings include hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, with a focus on inpatient care. Service is available throughout the OKC metro and surrounding areas, with some flexibility depending on location.
